All About Educational Blogging

According to the Center for Teaching at Vanderbilt University, educational blogging is blog that is created for educational purposes. Teachers can use blogs to communicate with parents, students, and other educators. Also, it is a great way for teachers to share their thoughts and opinions on educational topics. Personally, I really enjoy blogging for educational purposes and sharing my opinions with others.

After reading my peers blogs I learned about three topics: parent involvement, teacher salaries, and arts education. First, I read Sabrina's Blog about parent involvement in which she discussed the many benefits of parents being involved in their child’s education. Then, I read Mackenzie's Blog about teacher salaries. Mackenzie talks about the necessary change that needs to be made in the United States when it comes to teacher salaries. Finally, I read Stevie's Blog about art education in which she discusses how art education promotes creative thinking and teamwork amoung students.

In conclusion, I have enjoyed educational blogging and have learned an extensive amount of information about technology and blogging through this experience. When I have my future classroom, I will certainly consider using educational blogging. I think it is a great way for students, parents, and other teachers to get to know you as a teacher. They can see your thoughts on educational philosophies and topics. Therefore, I am looking forward to furthering my knowledge about technology in the classroom and using educational blogging more.
